Dear Parent/Carer, Welcome to Brierton! I am delighted to have this opportunity to give you some information about our school and hope you will find it interesting. The choice of the right secondary school for your child is important.
This website will give you an insight into our school and I hope that, having read it, you will want your child to join us here. Brierton Community School is a happy and hard working school, with high expectations of everyone here. Our aim is to provide an environment where all students achieve success, with the help and encouragement of a committed group of staff and with the support of their parents.
We are a Specialist Sports College, which gives students first class sports facilities and a wide range of opportunities in physical activity. Just as importantly, the Sports College status affects the whole ethos of the school, encouraging students to take an active part in the school and be a positive team player as well as learning about important issues such as healthy lifestyles.
At Brierton we all treat each other with consideration and respect. We believe that good manners are part of this, as is self-control and the ability to see other people's points of view. We encourage students to develop these qualities as they learn and grow throughout their time with us.
Above all, we work to see our students become good citizens with the confidence and drive to achieve their full potential and to make a positive contribution to the school and their wider community.
