Organisation of Learning/Religious Education and Collective Act of Worship

Religious Education is taught throughout the school and follows the agreed Hartlepool syllabus. During the week, each year-group has an assembly on a different day; these are held first thing in the morning. Parents can request that their child be excused from attendance at collective worship or religious education lessons. If you wish to exercise this right, please discuss this with the Headteacher so that suitable alternative provision can be arranged.

A year assembly is held once a week and a longer assembly for each year onee a half-term. In assemblies we talk about local, national and global issues that may affect us, as well as matters such as discipline and ethos. For each pupil, there is always an opportunity for personal daily reflection.
